What happens when you come across the boy that was your first kiss that you never quite forgot. Well for April Maysen, it is the beginning of the end. This is the perfect joining of two of ARR series, the Underground Kings and the original Until series. April is the daughter of Asher and November Maysen from Until November, and Maxim is the eldest child of Kai and Myla from Obligation.
They are perfect together. April is a no-nonsense woman who has been screwed over in the past but isn’t allowing it to define anything except it does keep her afraid of entering into an actual relationship.
Maxim is coming to the Nashville area for business purposes, but at the same time, I think that he is intentionally moving to April because of some of the little bits and pieces he shares. They shared a kiss when they were teenagers, and Kenton warns Maxim off of April. But I think that he recognized they are each other’s BOOM.
But they needed to live their lives, and that they did. Maxim is intense and possessive, but you expect nothing less from a hero in Reynold’s world. He is so much like his father. These two are electric together, and oh the scenes of them together…HOT!!
There is the underlying story of suspense in the background as well as April dealing with her idiot of an ex when he comes back into town. But both of those storylines play out well and wrap up nicely. My one and only gripe is I wish we had a little bit more of Maxim’s POV.
I love this addition to the Until Him/Her world and can’t wait for more!
