Dandelion Sighs | Marie Johnston

This book feels like you are sitting on your friends deck sipping lemonade gazing at the lake as they tell you the story of how they fell in love. Jasper and Sheridan pulled me in from page 1. I love how Sheridan, as reluctant as she was, just laid it all out for Jasper and he just sat at the picnic table calm as could be- I am pretty sure that was the moment that man fell head over heels in love with her. Jasper saw it but I think so many others also saw that Sheridan desperately needed someone in her corner; she has really been through it. She lost faith in herself and in the midst of grieving the loss of her mother she needs to keep the family business running. She is determined not to lose the business and prove to her brothers and herself that she can do this!

Jasper had been a little lost and wasn’t sure what was next for him- although being back in Coal Haven with his family brought him lots of joy! I love how he was always the “funcle” . I think every kid needs at least one of those! And then Sheridan ran, literally, right into his life and he stepped in steady and consistent. The pair became fast friends and they really became one another’s confidants. I love how Jasper rallied around Sheridan and pulled his family into the mix to love and support her- and Sheridan really saw Jasper as the hard working dependable guy he is; which he needed.
These two were such a great team and I love how their relationship grew organically! If you enjoy a small town, a family series, with nosy siblings and meddling grandmothers this series is perfect for you!
