Direct Action | Riley Edwards
Talk about reading on the edge of your seat- I love that Riley kept the suspense going until the very end!
Ryan has been pining over Chloe but because he was one of her bosses it becomes harder to stay away while. Chloe has a lot going on- she she is working multiple jobs just to help pay for her father’s medical care all while Alzheimer’s pulls the man she loves further away from her. She is very hesitant to take a job at The Vault but she cannot turn down that kind of money- she is desperate.
Chloe and Ryan have an immediate connection that burns HOT! These two literally light the pages on fire between the sheets and with their banter! Chloe is not a wallflower that is down for being told what to do, and she challenges Ryan and the rest of the team- however, she is also not dumb! This woman takes all of the insight and knowledge and when it counts uses everything she was taught! While Ryan might be steady and calm on most days he most definitely is not calm when it comes to Chloe.
While this was definitely a mission I love that it didn’t take them far from home and we were able to see the guys in their home environment, and it felt like we got a bigger glimpse at the team as a whole. I also feel like Riley did a lot of teasing for the next books and I won’t lie I am so excited for what is to come in this Downrange series!
