Review: Steele by Sawyer Bennett
Arizona Vengeance Series
* Hot alpha hockey player
* Second chance romance
* A feisty heroine
* Adorable family
I was graciously given an ARC of Steele and let me tell you I immediately stopped reading both the books I was reading, and DEVOURED it! Very quickly….and proceeded to read it for a second time! Having met Steele previously in Wylde I had an inkling that he would melt my heart. I immediately loved his attitude…it was like you could just tell that he was gruff on the outside, but a total softie! And a soft spot he does have for the ladies in his life. Steele and his wife, Ella have separated and the two have begun navigating co-parenting but it left him a little perplexed as to why they split. When he sees Ella dating he realizes that he needs to win his wife and the women he has been in love with since high school back.
I know people read to escape, but the thing I LOVED most about this book is that it was real. I could totally see myself being friends with Steele and Ella….and their marriage seemed REAL. Now not only does Steele need to convince Ella that he has changed his ways for the better, he needs to convince their 13 year old daughter he is committed to being the best husband he can.
This was a super cute read! You still get all of the team aspects as in so many of Ms. Bennett’s books BUT the best is we really get to see what the ladies we love are doing, too! It feels like so many books follow the same story line, but this one is a little different and refreshing! Sawyer Bennett is ALWAYS a pre-order author for me, especially her hockey books! You will adore the Steele family and I think you should read it!
