This book picks up not long after the end of book two, and there are no missteps in the timeline. I enjoyed this second book of the trilogy, but I was left thinking that there was so much in this book than I thought was needed. That being said… I enjoyed this continuation for Finn and Eva’s story. The characters themselves made choices and sacrifices based on their family’s needs and relationships. Eva has made the choice that she is going to move forward with or without Finn.

Finn finds out, and after some eye-opening conversations with different people sees that perhaps his thought process about his life might be right.  I enjoyed the fact that people didn’t tell people he was wrong, but it was him asking questions about their motivations for the choices that they made together.

These two have a strong and intense connection that is only stronger as the story progresses.  The emphasis on family and keeping things private is well done, but what happens when secrets come to light??? We don’t know we will see in book three!
