Setting Up My Reader Space
My tool to set up and where I do it.
When I get the rare opportunity to take a few hours to read uninterrupted, I make the most of it. As a mom and wife, I personally don’t get a ton of time where there is not a single person in the house for a long length of time that I can focus wholly on reading. I know that many people deal with this same situation. So when I get this chance… I go ALL out take strides into setting up my reader space.
First step is to make sure I have something to drink. Depending on the day, it depends on the type of drink. Whether it be coffee or my go-to gin and tonic, it shall always be in a coffee mug. I like a big coffee mug for my coffee, but small ones for my G&T are fine.
This one is one of my favorites.
The I chose my spot… it could be outside on my patio furniture, inside on our oversized chair, or in bed. The reader space itself doesn’t matter. And if its cold, let’s be real I am cold 90% of my life, I cuddle up a cozy blanket. Grab my Kindle and dive into the world authors have created for me.
There truthfully I am simple and easy. I truly only need a good blanket, a good book, and something to drink. And I will spend HOURS in one spot and let the world around me disappear. It seems trivial at times, but setting up my readers space allows me to truly unwind and get lost.
