Made for Us by Natasha Madison
Made for Us by Natasha Madison is sort of a friends to lovers romance. I am still on the fence if that is the correct trope for this title. But there are also so many sub tropes that this book fits into.
The story follows Abigail Stone and Tristan Weise, who have known each other for years but believed that they weren’t right for each other. They fell in love at first sight but kept their feelings hidden, choosing instead to admire each other from afar.
During a fun-filled family vacation, they finally give in to their passion. Tristan and his daughter are invited to a family vacation on a secluded island where Abigail and Tristan are in proximity of each other. A week of constant connections and interactions.
Fast forward 15 weeks, and Abigail is pregnant.
Abigail and Tristan both struggle with feelings of inadequacy, believing that their infatuation is one-sided and that they risk ruining their friendship.
Natasha Madison has created two compelling characters in Abigail and Tristan. It was a joy to witness their love story unfold as they overcame their insecurities and fears to pursue true happiness and live life to the fullest.
My biggest hang up in this book is the timeline. If you have read the 1st two books in this series you are aware of the connections between Abigail and Tristan, if not the timeline feels rushed. I loved that both characters pine for each other. I just felt like their relationship went from zero to HEA in 20 pages. I would have liked more of them together. I did not need dating I just need small moments, intimate touched between them or stolen kisses to confirm the attraction while reading.
I enjoyed the fun family antics that come with Natasha Madison’s hockey books. She did a great job balancing the relationship but giving the reader the family insights the have come to love from this series.
Overall, I enjoyed the book but wished there was more development in their relationship.
