The Big Daddy Kink of Reviews

In my quest to find the best of the Daddy Dom/Kink books I have read a huge sampling. Here are some quick reviews for three. There are more to come along with a Buzzing about Romance Episode all about the Daddy!

Daddy Esquire by  Olivia Fox
Silver Fox Daddy #1

This is a quick read about an older gentleman and a younger heroine. Belinda is seeking a partner to delve into her sexual adventures, while Arthur is yearning for a companion to share his life with after being betrayed by two individuals he trusted. I found this book to have moments of intensity, but then out of the blue there would be some weird wording that would just distract from the story. It was moments like this that made this book just an okay read.

Daddy Dom/Kink- They meet at IRL wedding. She finds him on Fetlife but does not know she has already met him. This borders on D/l kink. And this is very much about him wanted to take care of her and her wanting to be cared for.

Daddy’s Little Darling by Laylah Roberts
Montana Daddies #2

Initially, the story had a promising premise and a captivating protagonist whose underlying problems were skillfully unveiled rather than explicitly stated. Consequently, I found myself thoroughly engrossed in the narrative. However, my enthusiasm dwindled when the male lead was introduced. His character was not likeable; he was emotionally unavailable to heroine. He was much too hard to meet the daddy role that one expects with in an age play romance. Instead, he behaved like a self-absorbed adolescent, placing his interests above the well-being of his female counterpart. Regrettably, his conduct was deeply disappointing.

Daddy Dom/Kink, Age-Play- This book did not meet my expectations on age play. The hero was to harsh and rigid. Instead of a inherent need for care taking he did it begrudgingly. This is not a series I will go back to.

Husky by  Jessa Kane

The story “Husky” is set during fashion week and centers around the blossoming romance between Daws and Parker. While the story may not be entirely realistic due to the insta-love aspect and some awkward dialogue, it was refreshing to see a plus-sized hero take center stage. Daws’ lack of confidence was a bit difficult to read, as he didn’t feel worthy of Parker’s affection. Despite this, their sexual chemistry was undeniable and their interactions with one another were both sweet and endearing. The fact that they both took a leap of faith and were able to work through their conflicts was also enjoyable to witness.
Kane’s use of Daws to break down stereotypes in the fashion industry was a great touch, even if it wasn’t fully developed within the story’s plot.
Overall, “Husky” was a good read and might be the best Jessa Kane I have read. She tends to write to the ridiculous of age -gaps and this one was believable.

Daddy Dom/Kink- Daddy kink on this one was spot on and much more to my liking. It was really one of the best in the kink I have read to date.
