While this is a slow burn that doesn’t full pop until 68%, there is a scene at 36% that is just perfect.  Lexi Blake continues to bring perfection on a page in Papillon.  There are so many wonderful characters in this small town that I can’t get enough.  Major has lived in this small town for a few years now and has been struggling to find his other half.  Brynn is an actress that is in town because her new film is using this small town as the backdrop.  The meet-cute for these two is just the type of hijinks that the town of Papillon sees and I can’t be upset about it.  These two balance each other out in a way that neither of them were expecting.  However, that doesn’t mean that it is smooth sailing.  There are a lot of ups and downs with this story and back and forth between these characters because of the nature of Brynn’s life.

Major is also dealing with the declining health of his father, and I love the way in which Blake gives an insight to such a debilitating disease but gives it life in such a positive way.  It wouldn’t be Papillon without some floofy fun, and there is some trash panda pandemonium that ensues.

There is a great cast of characters that we have met in previous books as well as Brynn’s family which go through their own growth and chaos.  This is a series that you do not want to miss, and I can’t wait for the next installment!
