Man Scape | Vanessa Vale
Daniel Pearson is just starting a life that he has been waiting for. He recently retired, has a grown son. Daniel now has freedom like he never had before. He has big grand plans. In steps in the town librarian, Melly Harwood. As far as “meet cutes” this one is stellar. All thanks to a literal horn dog.
Everyone thinks that Melly is the picture of innocence, but Daniel sees right through that facade. Melly Harwood loves order and routine, so when Daniel steps into her life she tries to put ‘order’ into their relationship in the most amazing way. These two had some seriously amazing sexual tension and chemistry. Daniel and Melly lit the pages of Man Scape on FIRE. This might be one of the steamiest books of Vale’s that I have read, and friends; I am here for it! Daniel is a sexy, dirty talking, lumbersnack daddy. Once Melly steps out of her comfort zone, look out because this girl knows what she wants. But don’t let the steam trick you; this book is full of all of the ‘feels’. Daniel sees and understands Melly like others in her life don’t and he immediately steps in to protect her. While he might be grumpy with most people, Daniel’s soft spot is definitely Melly.
I love how Vale gave us enough of the Pearson brothers to leave us wanting more and more. Those brothers are hilarious and I hope that we get to see more and more of them and hang out in Hunter Valley for a while! If you love a small town read, found family, nosey brothers, lumberjacks, and dirty talking silver foxes this book definitely needs to be on your TBR!
