The Lockdown Mann | Riley Hart

This was one book that I was not ready to be over. To say I adored Desmond and Oakley is a huge understatement. The tension between this pair was so palpable- the chemistry was off the charts and so intense! The thing I was not expecting was for them both so much more emotional- once again Riley Hart made me cry! LOL 

Oakley wants to be the best at everything- the best father, partner, teammate, friend, and support system. He tries to be the best for everyone trying so hard not to be like  As he and his longtime girlfriend and mother of his child separate and navigate quietly the beginning of their new life.  One of the things that made my heart ache for Oakley is how much he loves- he loves so hard, so big and with everything that he has. 

Desmond Jackson recently was traded to a new team in LA- lucky for him his best friend Hunter also plays in LA- although for the “other” LA football team. His long lost first love also plays with Hunter.  Desmond desperately tries to be what everyone thinks he is- an aloof guy that never wants a relationship. But this man is really anything but aloof he is a deep thinker and has a giant heart of gold. 

Oak and Des are desperate to be around each other all the time and could not keep their hands off one another, I loved their sneaking around and Tuesday day dates! They quickly became each other’s person and it warmed my heart. I am a huge fan of second chances, friends with benefits to lovers, and men that are not afraid to love big so this one checked all of my boxes and I loved every single word….and was sad when the book was over, but so happy they got their hard fought HEA!
