Wrecked Palace is a beautiful written story of the power of love. The draw to the one human that can make you whole.
The Story follows broody, handsome, silent man Griffin. He has returned to the island of Anchor after losing his family right before his eye’s years ago. A man who is devastated to be with out a family. He feels lost and with out grounding. The outside world has tried to invade his life causing him to keep everyone at a distance. Griffin cherishes his privacy but doesn’t hesitate to help others if he needs to. He rarely speaks or seeks out other people. Griffin is pure book boyfriend perfection because underneath all that he has a heart of gold and loves deeply. He is instantly attracted to Caelyn, but he keeps his distance afraid of being hurt or his secrets released. He is impressed with how hardworking she is and how much she takes care of her siblings like her life wasn’t upended when their family went through tragedy, but they saw a kindred spirit in each other that was unexplainable.
Caelyn is barely keeping her head above water. While still barely more than a child herself she finds herself raising her siblings. She is trying as hard as she can to provide her siblings with stability and a happy life. While her life isn’t glamorous or easy she wouldn’t change it for the world. When things threaten their safety Griffin feels compelled to step in and help. They develop an easy friendship. Griffin quickly falls in love with her siblings, but he keeps his life at a distance from everyone. He allows Caelyn small glimpses of his life but still not fully letting her in. As outside forces threaten the safety of Caelyn and her siblings Griffin and she seem to be falling into their HEA.
These are stories of friendship and community. Building a family of love. I love the bonds all the friends share, and I especially fell hard for Griffin.
