I had yet to delve into a Jill Ramsower book, but I am always looking for new authors. This book did not disappoint. Ramsower herself states that she is “mafia light’ but she isn’t light on the story. Conner is told he must pick a bride, and he comes across Noemi. She is mute and he thinks this might be the best person for the position. However, he soon find that there is more than meets the eye when it comes to Noemi.
I really enjoy the progression of this story. There is a depth to the writing that I wasn’t expecting, and pleasantly surprised. This is one of the stories that you truly need to dive into the story itself to appreciate the story.

This is a quick novella that follows Pippa the best friend from book one and Bishop. These two meet and there is chemistry right off the bat. Bishop isn’t one for commitment so Pippa decides he is the perfect one to lose that pesky V card to… but things don’t pan out exactly how she expects. Bishop also has a different reaction than anticipated and decides that Pippa is his.
This is a quick read but has extremely well fleshed out characters that make you almost forget it’s a novella. Ramsower treats this quick read as thought they are gettin 90K and not just 25k.

When book one ends, you know that book 2 is going to be a doozy. But you truly don’t know what’s coming. Keir and Rowan have a meet cute that you aren’t expecting. It’s a dark romance with a meet cute friends.
Rowan is so much more than you expect. She holds secrets and pain for extreme that she creates a completely new persona for herself. But it is so hidden and held close that you truly don’t realize it until those secrets are revealed. There are moments in this book that you wonder… what exactly is goin don here, but once you get to the root of the story it all makes sense.
Keir is a possessive man who takes what he wants when he wants. And he WANTS Rowan. That to say he is protective of her in a way that he never expected. He has a gentleness with her when she needs it, but doesn’t hold back from her either. He pushes her to be herself and open up in ways that no one else in her life has. Their story is dynamic and engaging. I didn’t want to stop until it was finished. This series is dark, but not so dark that you get lost in it. There is big emotion that you truly need to immerse yourself in to get the full feel of it.
