I don’t always love the deception trope because the way in which it plays out at times. However, the way this one follows the story makes sense. I enjoyed the story of Crystal and Jesse. There was an intense connection from the get-go, but circumstances kept them from taking that first step. But truths came out, and things moved forward quickly. I didn’t love the pacing of this story and also felt like there was something missing. But overall, it’s a good read with a well thought out storyline.
