Let me start this review by saying this. I am always willing to give an author another chance if there are issues with a book because it might have been a fluke. But when it has happened in the last 3-4 books I have read by this author then it isn’t a fluke. It is a lack of editing. I enjoy Jessica Prince’s stories. I enjoy her writing. What I do not enjoy is the fact that I started a book, and in the first chapter of the book I did not know if a characters name was supposed to be Gabe or Gage. Now yes this is a side character… but when an author can’t name the character correctly and jumps between the two it makes me question, just who edits these books?

That being said. I did enjoy Laeth and Deva’s story. She is a woman who has been sheltered in a commune and basically hidden from the world. Laeth is a man that has made so many bad choices in the past few years and the consequences of those actions are finally catching up to him. There is an adorable little boy named Cash that comes into his life (one said consequence) and he plays perfectly into the way Deva and Laeth’s relationship blooms

There is a lot of character growth for both of them and their story was what I wanted. But I had a hard time moving past the name issue.
