I wasn’t sure where Piper Rayne were going to take us with this book, and I was apprehensive about reading it. I am glad that I did. This isn’t 100% up to Piper Rayne standards but they did a great job with it. Lucy and Adam deserve this second chance even when Adam was fighting tooth and nail not to give it. I enjoyed the fact that they didn’t drag out the real reasons for the initial separation, but at the same time I feel like there should have been more conversations surrounding it. And Lucy’s mother, I didn’t like her at all, and I wish there were more consequences to her poor actions. All in all this is a good read, and this new to Piper Rayne trope was done well.
