There are times when you look forward to a book and once you complete it you are left wanting more. Then there are times when you look forward to a book that you are left with a book hangover. This book by AL Jackson does just that. I had the privilege of listening to this book before release day and I highly recommend it. AL Jackson has a lyrical quality to her writing that transforms into audio perfectly. Connor Crais and Samantha Brentmoor were two narrators that could not have captures the emotions of this book any better. If you follow the podcast at all, you know that I am newer to the audio world. I have typically only listened to audio books that I have previously read. This book I dove right into the audio book and it was an experience.
These two characters were brought to life on a new level with the voices behind them. The heartbreak of Tessa at the moments when her heart was breaking was captured and portrayed in a way that you feel it. You are experiencing the anguish coming from Milo along with him. AL Jackson never disappoints in the feels department, and it is a rollercoaster of feels when you are eyeball reading her books, but when it’s in your ears there is a new level that is brought forth.
This book is top notch, and if you haven’t visited Redemption Hills, you do not need to. This book stands extremely well on its own, but there are some amazing characters in this story that have their own that you do not want to miss.
