I went into this book really looking forward to it because I love a grumpy grunty hero and Avery Flynn is one of my favorite authors.  About 25% into the book, I wasn’t sure where she was headed.  But I kept reading and I was so happy that I did.  I loved Griff because who doesn’t love a Lego building nerd that isn’t really all that nerdy at the same time.  

Kinsey and Griff have an instant connection, but circumstances in Kinsey’s life that are a little complicated keep things from progressing in a natural way.  These two are hilarious because of the way in which they interact with each other.  Mainly because they are both very self-conscious in the way they interact with people.  Griff because his dad is a jerk who is a terrible father to both Morgan and Griff.  I wish he got what was coming to him in the end, but he kind of scoots through his crappiness without any real repercussions. Kinsey because she is viewed as a blonde without brains when she is far from it.

The dynamic between these two is wonderful once they get out of their own way, and I really ended up enjoying this book.  And I can’t wait for book 3!!
