Man Cave | Vanessa Vale

From the moment we met Mallory in Man Hunt I could not wait for her to get her HEA! I love an amazing BFF, and Mallory is just that.  She really is the quintessential first grade teacher! Vale did an amazing job weaving her quirks throughout the book, and while one might think Mallory is meek or mild given her profession they would be all wrong.  I adored this character, and wished we could be friends hanging out at yoga and binging on pizza while gossiping!  

Then there is grumpy Leo.  After he made a snap decision to become a family practice doctor in Hunter Valley he still struggled to lose the rigid way of life he had in Denver.  But lucky for him he had lots of folks pushing him outside of his comfort zone, and Mallory was at the top of that list! Leo is a caretaker, a gruff one but he still cares for people especially those he loves.  He just doesn’t realize he loves people. Oh my goodness, Leo totally cracked me up and his calendar.  OH MY LANTA!!! Folks I do not want to ruin it for you, but good gravy this man took forever to wake up! What started as a friend with benefits/teach me all the sexy things turns out to be so much more! Mallory teaches Leo how to care for someone, and Leo in turn teaches Mallory that it is okay to rely on others and let them care for you!  The friendship and family dynamics were done so very well, previous characters sometimes have a tendency to crowd the pages of a current book in a series, but not this one.  It was a perfect balance of Leo & Malloy while giving readers the small town goodness we crave from this series!
If you enjoy a family series, with fun banter, small town antics and hot & sexy times this book and series should be at the very top of your TBR list!
