Hex by Anna Hackett is one book I couldn’t wait to read. This has been an anticipated coupling since we first met these two characters earlier in the series. Hex and Shade are two pool you just knew were going to end up together.

Shade is a man that still is adrift. He has no real theaters to anywhere or anyone and feels that is the best life for him to lead. Hex knows that he is worthy and capable of so much more. So when they two start moving forward, even with Shade’s reservations, Hex makes it known that she is unwilling to settle for anything les that she deserves. And he is the man to do that.

I want to be number one to someone. I want to be the most important thing in their life. The first thing they think of when they wake up, and the last thing they think of when they go to sleep. – Hex

It wouldn’t be an Anna Hackett book without some action and of course she doesn’t disappoint. This one is more couple focused that some of her other books but only in the way in which the action plays out. There is always a good balance, but with Shade’s past then there needed to be that focus on his emotional growth. These to are two sides of the same coin. Opposites, but yet not. The attraction is combustable and the culmination of that attraction does not disappoint.

The epilogues that Hackett gives us to round up these books is PERFECTION! I am sad to see the end (for now) if this series, but excited to see where the author takes us next.
