This book hits all the feels and everything that I need. I love this Men of Haven series, and when Rhenna Morgan said she was writing Danny and Callie’s book I was beyond excited. I wasn’t sure how Morgan was going to be able to redeem Callie because of the ways in which we met her back in book one. But she creates this arch of a character that you can’t help but fall in love with. You get truly where her motivations behind her decision come, you may not agree with them, but you can understand it. Danny is a character that you just want more. He is such a good guy, and has had a connection with Callie from the time that they met. But Callie was such a mess that he needed to distance himself from it all. When she unexpectedly shows up in his life, he isn’t sure whether or not he can trust her because of his past. This is truly a show of growth and redemption for Callie.

Callie wants to reconnect with her sister as the person she is now, not the person that Viv knew before. One thing I love about this storyline is the fact that Morgan doesn’t make it easy for those amends to happen and they happen at a pace that makes sense. Not everyone is open to allowing Callie back into the life of those in the family, but they are willing to see her for the changes she has made. Danny, once he gets over some hang-ups, is a stanch supporter of Callie and she truly needed that! This series is amazing, and I am so happy that we were able to go back into this world.

Side Note: Becky and I did a Quick Shot of Romance on this book. Look here to see our show notes, and listen to what we have to say!
