When first met Blake in Rushed (Book1), I was curious to know why this guy that was talked about is such a good way was not coming across as a good guy at all.  As Risky unfolds, you learn about the secrets he is holding, and you have sympathy and understanding as to why he is a little grumpy and a little out of character.

Everly was dealt a crap hand by her ex, and he continues to dump onto her as the story moves forward.  You just want to snuggle little Sampson because is an adorable little guy.  Everly’s parents are amazing and supportive to her, and I just love the way that are with her and her son.

Blake and Everly have an instant connection, however with Blake dealing with all he is, he tries to fight it and inadvertently hurts her over and over again.  But that fighting doesn’t last long, and once he decides he is in, watch out.  This is a slow burn, but it makes sense and also doesn’t feel like one because of the way in which these two connect.

Blake protects Sam and Everly with everything he has, and it is endearing to see how much of a connection he has with the little boy.  These two navigate their relationship perfectly and you get a little bit of Blake’s sister’s story as well.  I adore Aurora Rose Reynolds and jump at the chance to get every book she writes.  This is a great addition to her body of work, and I can’t wait for more from this group!
