Review: The Chase is Over

Toni Aleo writes some confident sexy men.   Aiden Brooks may be the best of what she has written. 

In The Chase is Over is set with in the wedding of Shelli Adler to Aiden Brooks. It’s beautiful and extra of wedding!   Join the Adler and Brooks as they have one of the most over the top weddings in history. 

This story is a short novella, but there is a WHOLE lot going on.  Shelli and Aiden have two of my favorites since they were little, and to see it come to fruition was the ending we needed.   This was a 3.5/5 read for me.

I had a few issues with this story.  A couple of things were unbelievable and because of that there were times where I almost DNF’s the book. I felt that this was over the top and extravagance to the point it made me uncomfortable. I really struggled to finish this novella.  This is not typical for me. I traditionally have loved the stories Aleo writes.  I am not sure what has changed but I do hope she scales back some and get back to writing her traditional well thought out, good character novels.  This was not it.
