Review: Fix by Molly McAdams

Rating 5/5
Steam: 3/5
Angst: 3/5
Trope: Small town, friend group, instant connection, tragic back stories,
POV: 1st person dual

Fix is my first read by author Molly McAdams.  It is actually a pick for our Drunk Book Club.

Fix had me totally captivated from the first page. It is a steamy and swoony romance.  This was such a unique spin on a typical small-town romance.  Amber, Texas has a gossip mill like I have never seen before.

Let’s start with Rae she is not typical.  She is commitment phobic.  Avoid putting down roots. She is very much a lone wolf making her way in the world by writing romance and traveling.  I really liked her.  She is very articulate in what her expectations are and what her boundaries are.

Sawyer was intense, brooding, and demanding, while sweet and swoony at the same time. He had moments of being a typical guy and not listening but at the end of the day his heart was solid.

The tension was so palpable through the pages, chemistry so intense you’ll be waiting on the edge of your seat for what happens next.  I am so enamored with the town of Amber and the Dixon Family.
