Review: A Very Vegas St. Patrick’s Day by Kayley Loring and Connor Crais

Rating: 5/5  PoP: 6%  Book #3 in the Very Holiday series, can be read as a standalone

Oh, Nolan. If you have read any of the other books in the Very Holiday series you know Nolan is usually not a good influence. He is out to enjoy the world and all its offerings but does occasionally share great wisdom in the form of Irish proverbs. He is not looking for love and thinks there is no way it is for him. So, you know he is going to fall fast and hard. And he does, for a beautiful woman, Cora, he mets at the airport bar. He quickly finds himself breaking his rules and feeling more than he ever has but both of them know this is only temporary.

Cora is someone different when she is away from home for a very good reason. As much as she enjoys her time with Nolan, she believes it is impossible for their relationship to exist beyond a fling. She cuts and runs to make a clean break but fate has other plans. When they meet again, Nolan pulls out all the stops to make Cora his. But in the morning light, Cora is reluctant to agree. She has been doing life her way for so long, she is unsure how to do it as a team. It is going to take some grand gestures and help from all of the Very Holiday gang to rectify the situation.

The banter and sexy times in this book are on point.(Strawberries ;)) Nolan is the charming and wisdom filled character you know from the previous books but he thrives in his pursuit of Cora. He knows the changes in his life come at a cost but they are more than worth it for him. He never second guesses his intentions once they are made. Cora has more difficulty adapting to the changes a life with Nolan would include. She too is quick to make decisions too but they come from fear instead of love. The resolution of conflict in this book is cute and on par for the Cannavale/Cassidy clan. I love that we get little peeks into the minds of the younger generation in this book, just as we have in the others. We can only wonder who and what holiday will include their shengiaginas next.

This is the second book that Kayley and Connor have written together and although there are a few minor transitional bumps, I am excited to see their collaboration grow. I think it is a great partnership that benefits the readers greatly.
