Double Pucked by Lauren Blakely
Double Pucked, the inaugural installment of the My Hockey Romance series by Lauren Blakely.
This book effortlessly combines humor, heartfelt moments, and scorching passion, showcasing Blakely’s signature style that fans have grown to love. The book is brimming with enjoyable and amusing instances, particularly when Trina stumbles upon her partner’s betrayal in a comical fashion. The narrative strikes a lighthearted tone, minimizing dramatic tension, and ensuring a breezy and captivating reading experience.
Of course, there are also steamy encounters. Trina navigates the unfamiliar territory of being with two men simultaneously, but she quickly adapts and thoroughly enjoys the experience. Chase and Ryker exhibit patience, allowing Trina to determine her desires. Together, the three of them ignite a fiery connection, exploring their sexuality and growing together.
However, the story isn’t solely focused on bedroom escapades. Chase and Ryker treat Trina with incredible tenderness, pampering her and ensuring she receives the love she deserves. They support her as she discovers her true self and what she truly desires. Emotions develop, complexities arise, but ultimately everything falls into place as it should. None of them knew what they needed until they discovered the magic that happens when the three of them are together.
While MFM romances are not typically my preference, I thoroughly enjoyed this book and couldn’t help but fall for both Chase and Ryker. Trina and her boys may not have a conventional relationship, but it proves to be a perfect fit for them. The epilogues and their happily ever after add a satisfying conclusion. And, let’s not forget Nacho—I adored him!
