Smitty sees Kailey and instantly knows that this is the woman that he is going to marry. The feeling, however, was not mutual. Smitty and Kailey are both characters that have parts of themselves that they see as insufficient. These don’t define who they are, but it does affect the way in which they act around people and how they treat their lives. Elise Faber does these two justice in all aspects of this book. They have two completely different ends of the spectrums of issues, but they each find that when they are together, they boost a strength that they didn’t realize they possessed.
Smitty give Kailey the strength to stand up the people who haven’t been supportive of her, and Kailey gives Smitty the strength to put forth some truth that he has been hiding. These two were perfect for each other, and it is always snice to get to check in with previous couples as well as get the sneak peek into the next book.
