Reapers Wrath | Jill Ramsower
I have not been able to get this book out of my head! I absolutely loved Elio and Isa. But one of the things that has stuck with me is the setting- it is so unexpected for a mafia book but absolutely perfect! I was hooked from page 1 and I could not put this book down!
Second chance and dual timeline often isn’t my favorite to read but I was so invested in this book and it made a lot of sense to me because of the past that Isa and Elio share! I loved how their first go at love slowly revealed itself throughout the book- and the wait was so worth it!!! And there was a kidnapping so I was immediately sold!
Elio saw some of the over the top possessive mafia men and said ‘hold my beer’ and took it to the next level. To say he is obsessed with Isa is a huge understatement. She was his first love and the memories of the two of them together got him through the darkest days of his life. So when she is set to marry another man he literally has no choice than to intervene.
Isa is so kind, loving, and selfless. She agrees to marry to join families in an effort to save another woman from an arranged marriage. Isa was so calm, cool, and collected. I love how she didn’t even have to try to drive Elio wild!
While this probably could be read as a standalone I definitely think that you should read the previous books in the The Moretti Men series. Just trust me! Jill Ramsower has quickly become one of my all time favorite mafia romance writers…her families are amazing, her heroes are possessive, and her heroines are intelligent and feisty! So if you enjoy any or all of those in your books I highly recommend this book!
