Crosby | Sawyer Bennett

I love starting a new series- book one usually sets the tone and OMG hockey romance fans we are going to love our time in Portland with the Wildfire! We got to meet a lot of new people and in the most perfect way! Juno is a documentarian that is documenting the newest NHL expansion team in Portland. We along with Juno have unfiltered access to the Wildfire players.  Juno though has her own unique story and most definitely does not like the spotlight- she is happy to stay out of the way of the camera. Juno is outwardly warm and inviting but very guarded and doesn’t let too many people close to her.
Crosby Hale is one of the league’s best goalies and one of the Wildfire’s star players.  Initially I thought that Crosby was going to be grumpy and closed off and I really went back and forth on if he was hiding something or if he indeed just likes his privacy.

The sparks and attraction between Crosby and Juno were almost instant for the two and I really appreciated how they slowly opened up to one another, and once they did both were all in.  One of my favorite aspects of this book was all of the insights we were getting from different players and it really left me wanting more … .and ASAP!!! To say I am looking forward to my time in Portland and what is next is a HUGE understatement- I may already have a favorite (Arch) but I am so very excited to meet Locke.
