I keep giving Leslie Pike’s work a try and each time I am a little disappointed. I love this world, and the characters that are brought to life by all of the authors. But this one fell flat. There are more telling that showing on a page. I felt like the words were written but there wasn’t real emotion behind them. I wanted to love Kim and Landon’s story, but I just couldn’t. That being said, the story itself is structured and edited well. I just couldn’t connect with the author’s writing in this story. I enjoyed the theme of the book as well as the characters, but the development wasn’t strong, and the tie into the rest of the Until world left me wanting more.
