There was something about Until Maisie that didn’t work for me.

Maisie Warner is moving back to Tennessee after being pulled away from it by her toxic mother. She had a crush on Sawyer Prescott but he was older and this attraction was never acted on until the day she had to leave. The story itself is engaging and pulls you in, but I didn’t connect with the characters on a level that I wanted to. I am a mood reader, so I don’t know if it is the fact that I am in a bit of a book slump or I am not connecting with the way the authors are writing this story.

It has those connections that you need to the Until World itself. Maisie works for July at the vet clinic, and Sawyer lived in the town until he went into the service. It has the elements of suspense that I want in an Until book but it felt a little off to me. The structure of the story is well done, and it is a story I will come back to once I am out of my slump to see if it reads differently. Overall, I enjoyed the story and hope you do as well.
