Jake is a PI looking for the sister of a friend and meets Lexi during his investigation. But he doesn’t tell her what he is doing or who he is looking for at first, but while this sties into the storyline, this does not affect their relationship because once he comes forward with the truth, Lexi doesn’t hold it against him.
We have met Lexi in the Until Books because she works at the tattoo shop, and her and the Mayson girls are friendly. The Lexi we have met before isn’t truly the Lexi that we get in this book because Kate Stacy gives us a real look into just the type of person she is. Lexi hasn’t had the best life and has created her own family. This family isn’t without its problems.
This was my first read by Kate Stacy, but you bet I binged a bunch of her books after I read this one and look forward to more to come!
