Unfinished by Nyssa Kathryn
I went into this story knowing Nyssa Kathryn would deliver emotion, tension, and heart—and she absolutely did.
Bonnie is the kind of heroine you think you won’t like at first. She walked away from her family. She disappeared when things got hard. But once you understand why, your heart cracks open for her. Her grief, guilt, and fear feel painfully real.
Zane is just as guarded. A former Army Ranger and UFC fighter with a past he refuses to talk about. He’s quiet. Closed off. Protective to a fault. And while his secrecy hurts Bonnie, it also makes complete sense as his story unfolds.
This is a small-town friends-to-lovers romantic suspense with a lot happening. At times, it almost feels like overkill. But because of Bonnie and Zane’s shared trauma, it works. Their pasts are heavy. The danger is real. The stakes make sense.
The suspense kept me turning pages. The emotional payoff was worth it. And Zane’s devotion—especially when Bonnie’s safety is on the line—hits hard.
Nyssa Kathryn remains a must-read author for me. This story didn’t disappoint.
