Welcome back to the Black Resorts!

Layla Frost finally returns with Little Sunshine, and it was worth the wait. Ash was a major side character in Little Dove, and readers were clamoring for his book. Frost creates a dynamic story with Ash and Mila. Mila is a woman that has not had it easy. While she has struggled, one thing I loved about the way she was written is that she didn’t allow it to bring her down. She keep moving forward. Tried to get ahead, did what she could to keep going. But time and time again, it doesn’t work for her. Then she meets Ash.

In Little Sunshine, Ash is a character that you almost expect to have a bad back story, but I appreciate the fact that we don’t get that this time. The family that Ash was raised in was that ideal one where he was loved and has a great relationship with his parents and his siblings. It goes to show, that you don’t always need to have the damaged characters that live in the morally grey.

There are so many great supporting characters in this story, and of course we get a look at Maximo and Juliet still going strong in their relationship. Layla Frost continues to create a world in which you never want to leave.

I hated sounding insecure and needy. Even worse, I hated that I was insecure and needy. I wanted to be effortlessly confident.
