Welcome back to the Black Resorts
If you love your romance with a sizzling dose of possessive heroes, a sunshine heroine who brings the grumpiest of men to their knees, and a storyline that delivers all the steam with zero unnecessary angst—then Little Goddess by Layla Frost is a must-read! This book is the third in the Black Resorts series, and let me tell you, it brings the heat, the heart, and the kind of protective, all-in devotion that makes my romance-loving soul swoon. Set in the glitzy, dangerous world of Las Vegas, Little Goddess introduces us to Calliope (Callie), a heroine who is pure light and warmth despite the trials of her upbringing. She is the kind of woman who makes even the most hardened men believe in more, and sometimes more than they even realized. And speaking of men—oh boy, does she get three of them.
The Heroes: A Trio of Alpha Goodness
First we have, Chef Freddy: the broody, growly, culinary genius who would rather let his food do the talking. The way he channels his emotions into his cooking? Total chef’s kiss. Then Cole the Tech Nerd: the brainiac of the group, but don’t let his intelligence fool you—he’s just as intense and protective as the others. A little light stalking never hurt anyone right?!?! And finally Marco: the muscle and protector, the one who will burn the world down to keep Callie safe. (I mean, they will all burn it down, but Marco comes to that scorched earth more naturally.) Each of these men brings something different to the table, but together… They’re completely obsessed with Callie in the best way. They are all so different, but steadfast in the way in which they care.
We revisit the world of Black resorts when Callie comes to work at Parisian Crescent, a restaurant in one of the hotels. She has been living in communes and “communities” her entire life, and she finally breaks free. It isn’t easy, and isn’t without issue.
There are so many elements to this story that you need to dive into it yourself to get the full effect. And we get visits from Maximo, Juliet, Ash and Mila.If you’re in the mood for a high-heat, high-protectiveness, all-heart romance where the men worship their woman, Little Goddess delivers in every way. Layla Frost has crafted a story that is equal parts steamy, swoony, and full of those over-the-top “mine” moments we crave.
