Going back to the sci-fi world of Anna Hackett is always a delight. We meet Kennedy Black and Knightmaster Austin Caydor in this newest spin-off series.

These two are strong and steadfast in their beliefs as well as fixed in their plans of life. However, fate has plans they were not anticipating. Ashtin is a guard for the Knightqueen of Oronis and when faction attacks and kidnaps the queen, Kennedy is blamed for consorting with the enemy. In order to prove her innocence, Kennedy goes with Ashtin to try and save the queen.

This is where Hackett differs just a little bit from her typical style. Ashtin and Kennedy get their HEA. It isn’t without action and fight for they safety but she does leave us with a cliffy in a sense. Now there is NO cliffhanger with the couple, their relationship transpires in a way that works well. The story itself is not fully resolved, but there is no doubt that this book is a must read.

The imagination that Hackett displays with the continuation of this alien works is amazing. I am loving this world so much, and hope you do as well.
