Amy Award warns you in the front matter of The Wiener Across the Way, that this is fluff and fun. And it is 100% that. We go back into the Kingsmen world, this time with Declan, Kelsey, and Wiener the Pooh. Kelsey is a pop-star that has almost no one looking out for her. And Declan is a NFL player that is more than the grumpy player that people perceive him to be.

Their meet cute is one for the books, when Declan saves Wiener the Pooh from a rattlesnake. What follows in The Wiener Across the Way is a story you that makes you feel good without angst. That isn’t to say that there is not substance to their story because there definitely is, but this story is full of life and light. The care in which Declan shows Kelsey and the protection that he gives her when she didn’t know she needed it shows that the depth of his character that as a reader isn’t expected. We get those wonderful moments from the whole Kingsmen family as well as the addition of Kelsey’s PA, who aside from her parents is one of the few people in her world that look out for her.

These stories show that family is a driving force that makes a person stronger… don’t miss this fun series.
