The Pilot by Susan Stoker
The Pilot is my favorite Alpha Cove book so far.
I braced myself a little going into Harper and Linc’s story. I wondered how I could ever root for a woman who once bullied the man she falls for. By the end, I was completely on board. Harper apologizes early and means it, and there is no unnecessary drama drawn out around it. Watching her come face to face with who she used to be, especially as her own son faces bullying at school, gave this book a real full circle moment. It hit me harder than I expected. Linc offering Harper and Kash a place to stay when they need it most says everything about the man he has become.
And Kash. He might be my favorite part of this entire book. The suspense revolves around him, and getting to watch him step into a hero moment of his own had me completely invested.
Settling into a Susan Stoker book always feels like coming home, and this one did not disappoint. The Young family continues to be the best part of this series, and that glimpse into Knox’s story has me counting down the days.
