The Overtime Kiss by Lauren Blakely

Lauren Blakely delivers again with The Overtime Kiss! As a long-time fan of her work, I had high expectations—and she surpassed them effortlessly. This series is one of my favorites, and this installment might be the best yet.

🎧 Narrated by Brooke Bloomingdale & Teddy Hamilton (Duet)

I don’t usually gravitate toward duet narration, but Brooke Bloomingdale and Teddy Hamilton completely won me over—this performance was exceptional and elevated every moment of the story.

The story kicks off with Sabrina walking away from a cheating fiancé and unexpectedly landing a job as nanny to Tyler’s adorable children. Tyler’s a single dad and pro hockey player who’s been harboring a secret crush on Sabrina for years—and surprise, she’s been crushing right back. The ‘secret crush meets close proximity’ setup creates delicious tension that Blakely builds to perfection.

Tyler is swoony in all the best ways—devoted dad, hockey heartthrob, and just the right amount of broody. Sabrina’s resilience, warmth, and strength make her instantly lovable. Watching her step into this new chapter of her life while forming a bond with Tyler’s kids (and with Tyler himself) was both heartwarming and satisfying.

The banter is on point, the chemistry sizzles, and there’s a beautiful emotional depth that makes their romance truly shine. Plus, longtime Blakely readers will appreciate cameos from past favorites—it adds a fun layer of connection to the larger world she’s built.

If you love single dad romances, sports heroes, slow-burn tension, and just the right amount of steam, The Overtime Kiss is a must-read. I adored every minute and can’t wait for Lauren Blakely’s next book!
