Conor, Harper, and Luca are exactly what I needed to read. Mari Carr can write an extremely dynamic throuple.

Conor is a Russo. Luca is a Moretti. These two families are trying to get past an ages old feud between them. Slowly but surely they are because of the connections and relationships being formed.

Conor is a man with a lot of baggage, but he suffers in silence. Mari Carr does an amazingly accurate protrayal of the debilitating anxiety Conor lives with. Harper is a model who no longer wants to model and is starting a restaurant with Conor. She is done living her life for other people, and wants to do what she truly loves. In comes Luca… they hire him to do the construction work on the restaurant. He and Conor have history… but it’s history that Luca isn’t sure the cause.

This story is truly about three people finding their true selves, and how fear keeps them hostage.

If you haven’t read Mari Carr yet, you are missing out. This is a well done book with little angst but a lot of growth and healing.

Side note… a man after my own heart with this quote.

“You dog-eared the pages. What kind of monster does that?”
