Brynne Asher gave me exactly what I wanted and then some. Ozzy’s book has been much anticipated, and I was worried that it wasn’t going to live up to the hype. But I should have never doubted Ms. Asher’s talent. Ozzy and Liyah may have topped my Killers favorite list, and I wasn’t sure that was ever going to be possible.
“A princess and a dead man. Two souls, lost and wandering.”
There are so many moments in this book that Asher just nails it never looks back. From the moment these two meet it is full out chaos and perfection. The Killers come together in a way that you know and expect, but they pull Liyah into the fold without thought. She fits seamlessly into Ozzy’s world, and it throws him for a loop.
Ozzy has been living his life working for Reskill and doing what he needs to do, but there has always been things in his periphery. Those things on top of the chaos that the princess is mired in come out in full swing as the book unfolds. I honestly can’t say enough good things about this book, but don’t’ want to give any moments away because you truly need to read it. But I will leave you with this last quote.
“I remember my mother telling me about turning points. She said they hit you in life when you least expect them. Sometimes you have to trust your instincts.
