Review: Marshmallow Mountain by M.A. Wardell and A.J. Truman

Marshmallow Mountain is cheesy, quirky, queer holiday fun, and I enjoyed every minute! The cover is adorable, and the story inside is just as heartwarming. This book offers a heartfelt departure from the typical rom-coms you might expect from M.A. Wardell and A.J. Truman. Data and Marsh are characters you can’t help but root for, and their journey through family pressures and career challenges feels both relatable and uplifting.

While the story doesn’t shy away from heavier topics, there’s a comforting thread of joy and hope that remains front and center, giving it a unique and cozy vibe. My one issue? The humor sometimes dives a bit too deep into cheesy Hallmark territory. I know that’s part of the charm, but it didn’t fully work for me. Still, Marshmallow Mountain is a delightful holiday read with plenty of laughs, heartfelt moments, and lovable characters.
