This story is extraordinary. The impact that this story had I am not sure I can put into words. There is so much goodness in this story from big emotions to family dynamic, add in this forbidden attraction you will be entranced. The magic of this story telling has you entranced with the characters and want to be a part of their journey.
This is a forbidden romance between a widower and his sister-in-law who is 13 years his junior. Darian was with his wife Sonia for 10 years but died from a blood clot after she gave birth to their baby, Arman. Rani was only 9 years old when her sister ran off to marry Darian. Due to Rani’s mother’s choice to disown her sister she had a very limited connection to her sister and never really knew Darian.
Darin is now left trying to run his outdoor adventure school with a 1-year-old. His mother has been helping with child care but her health is becoming an issue. A chance meeting as Rani volunteering to spend the summer with Arman as a live in care giver. Even before Darian knows who Rani is he feels an instant connection to her.
Rani has been under her mother’s thumb, never being quite good enough for her. Rani is embracing a new lease on life from her curves to stepping out of the shadows. You quickly forget she is only 19. The added piece of her blog was simply beautiful. The fact that Rani loves love. She wants that deep soul shattering love more than anything.
I will be recommending this book over and over. It is one of the best romances I have read in 2022. This story is dynamic, it is a must read.
