Product Review: My Favorite Earbuds (and the hubs too)

My favorite earbuds are not the usual go-to product. No matter what you call them, ear buds or headphones, they do the same thing.  Not all ear buds are the right fit. I know that people RAVE about Apple Airpods—my husband being one of them— but I have extremely small ear canals and they just don’t work for me.  The bulb of the pod doesn’t fit into my ear right and they constantly fall out. I will link the ones I bought for him and uses daily.

Personally, I have always liked Skull Candy headphones.  They have worked well for me, but I tried a pair of Bluetooth ones and just dint’ love the set up.  So, I went a different direction.

JLAB earbuds

Like I said, I have small ear canals so honestly, it’s hard to find an ear bud that works well for me. Especially since they are constantly falling out.  But alas!!! I came across these JLab Go Air Sport with the hook around the ear and I love them.  They are extremely pleasing to the wallet as well.

The JLABs are super easy to pair to any device and connect nicely.  A charge can last me a few days depending on how much I use, but I do know I can listen to at least one entire audio book per charge.  I haven’t yet tested if I can go for two.  A typical charge lasts me about 5 days give or take. My one hang up is the way in which they charge.  But they really are my favorite earbuds that I have used.

The earbuds themselves need to be in the case and the case has a connected USB (which I do like) but the case is a little cumbersome.  Truly the size of the case is my only real issue.  I like them so much I bought both my kiddos a pair for Christmas, and they use them constantly.

When one gets a job outside of the house sometimes a second set of ear listening devices is necessary.

Especially when pairing to multiple electronic devices.  Enter these Skullcandy Dime True Wireless In-Ear Bluetooth Earbuds.  Now I was a little bit apprehensive at first when I got these, but Skullcandy always gives multiple sizes for their earbud casings so I thought I would give them a try.

Now these ones I like, but not as much as my JLAB.  The Skullcandy don’t hold a charge as well as I would like, but since I typically only use them in my office that isn’t an issue.  They do use a micro-USB cord to charge, which a mini length cable came with them, so charging itself isn’t an issue.  They do sit well in my ears and don’t typically fall out which again… I like.  I for sure go towards my JLABS more than the Skullcandy but only because I don’t have to fiddle with them at all.  That being said, for the price point they were an excellent purchase especially since I only use them during my workday.

So, if you are looking for earbuds but don’t want to break the bank or can’t use the Airpods. Either one of these choices are good.
