Grace and Harlan have a history that no one knows about, but as the story unfolds you learn everything about how their relationship from when they were younger imploded. There are hurts and truths that come out, but these two feel so much for each other it doesn’t take much to work their way back to each other once the walls start to come down. Grace is in a tight spot with the ranch that she lives on, and Harlan is there every step of the way. This is a softer approach to the suspense sub-genre but not less entertaining. This is a well-executed story with well-rounded characters that aren’t truly whole without the other. They are soul mates without question. If you haven’t yet given this new series a chance, you should because they talk about the hardships of dealing with PTSD and how it can manifest in anyway. But treat it with grace and understanding.
