Love for Hire by Nikki Castle
Sexy, sweet, and surprisingly tender — this escort romance delivers both heat and heart.
Love for Hire is exactly the kind of romance that takes a trope you think you know and makes it feel brand new. From the dedication alone, I knew this one was going to hit, and it absolutely did.
Scarlett and Nico are two lonely people standing at very different crossroads, and their first meeting crackles with tension. The chemistry is immediate and undeniable, but what I loved most is how the emotional connection builds right alongside it. Scarlett’s no-kissing rule gives their early dynamic a charged, Pretty Woman–esque edge, and when that first real kiss finally happens? Worth the wait.
Scarlett broke my heart in quiet ways. The way she’s learned to make herself small, to treat affection as something transactional, felt painfully real. Watching Nico slowly, patiently show her that she doesn’t have to earn care or softness was incredibly satisfying. He is a walking green flag in the ways that matter most, steady and intentional with her heart. The scene where he takes care of her when she’s sick completely undid me, and the animal shelter moment might be my favorite in the whole book.
This story is undeniably sexy, but it’s also tender and surprisingly sweet. Scarlett and Nico are both vulnerable and searching for something more. Together, they find purpose in each other without losing themselves. The story is emotional without being devastating, intimate without being over the top, and deeply romantic at its core.
The Price brothers are off to a strong start. If this is what we’re getting from this series, I’m all in.
