Flirt by Adriana Locke
Adriana Locke’s “Flirt” is a slow burn romance that features co-workers transitioning from friends to lovers. The book offers excellent banter that keeps readers engaged.
Upon seeing this book, I was intrigued by its premise and decided to give it a try.
Overall, I found the banter to be enjoyable and was invested in the romance, as well as the dynamic between the Carmichael brothers.
However, there were a few aspects that detracted from my enjoyment. I had initially expected a slow burn, but the pace of the relationship escalated quickly, with a focus on the physical aspects.
Additionally, I found it peculiar that the characters had a high amount of dialogue when alone, which didn’t feel entirely natural. While it’s common to talk to oneself occasionally, the frequency and abrupt.
I noticed that the book had a few plot holes, which led me to wonder if the author was under pressure to publish quickly. While the world-building and character development at the beginning were thorough, it took a while to get to the core of their relationship. However, the ending felt rushed, leaving out some essential elements that I had expected to see. This hurried conclusion resulted in significant plot holes, which left me feeling somewhat disappointed with the overall reading experience.
