Cocky Notes by Leesa Bow

I was in love with the idea of the being a prequel to Cocky Bastard. The fact that it was set in Australia prior to the start of Cocky Bastard so we got a glimpse of Chance before his life fell apart was intriguing to me. But I kind of struggled with this one a bit. It was a quick and easy read. I just did not love Macy and Reef. It was just hard to connect with them. It was a well written story.

I really enjoyed the different approach to in this one taking place slightly before and concurrently with the original series. This is the first like this in the Cocky Hero Club universe that I have read.

This was a 3.5/5 star read for me. I just need more connection to the characters. I wanted more from Reef. I am not sure what the misconnect was for me.
