Cherry Picked | May Archer

Hawkins Sunday.  I feel like readers have been waiting for Hawk.  Hawk is the character that is there for everyone and has a pulse on everything…but the question is who has a pulse on him? Jack.  That would be Jack.  I would say that Hawkins Sunday has an eclectic taste and likes what he likes and this is really Pride and Prejudice! So much.  And this man has such a giant heart and loves the people around him so darn much. A total romantic at heart. But being one of the youngest, some have a hard time seeing him as an adult and needing the space to make his own way in the world.  When he approaches his longtime crush who also happens to be his brother’s best friend, as well as his bestie to pop his cherry…things get really really interesting.

Jack Wyatt hasn’t had the best of lives, and he works so hard.  He has folks relying on him for a paycheck.  He is very close to his mom, and also wants to ensure her life is as great as possible.  He also cares so deeply about his friends.   Jack has told himself and everyone around him that he does not have time for a relationship, and that he won’t be getting married or tying himself down.  So he may indulge in a fling or two, no big deal.  That is until Hawkins.  Sweet Hawkins that he adores and protects at all costs asks him to pop his cherry.

I love how the chaos ensues and Jack literally cannot stop thinking about Hawkins.  All the while Hawkins finds his inner voice and strength and starts to do things that he feels in his heart.  The little mystery and outside angst that Archer provides us left me wanting to camp out with Hawk and protect Little Pippin Hollow at all costs!  Let’s say then Jack finally allows himself to fall for Hawkins, he falls hard and fast!  And the grand gesture and how well he knows Hawk will make your heart swell.  If you love a small town romance, with a little angst, a nosy family, and a sweet activist this book should be on your kindle IMMEDIATELY!!! I have fallen in love with this town and the Sunday family I cannot wait for more and more from May Archer!!!
