Too Cold for Comfort by Nisha J. Tuli

A snowed-in vacation fling in polar bear country? Yes, please.

Nisha J. Tuli pulled me into Too Cold for Comfort in the very first scene. The landscape came alive right away. Best of all, the town is a real place in Canada, and I would love to visit, preferably with a camera in hand.

Aadya is a photographer chasing a career-making shot and leaving a messy breakup behind. When the lodge is overbooked, she lands in the family’s private quarters next to Reid, the gruff owner who gives her the coldest welcome. Reid has a reason to be grumpy, but he gets over it quickly. Even though the entire book is told from Aadya’s point of view, his attraction to her comes through loud and clear. Snowed in with a vacation fling, in the middle of polar bear country? Yes, please.

The supporting cast added so much warmth. Reid’s employees and the other guests Aadya meets on the tour made the lodge feel like a real community.

Aadya’s career keeps her traveling, while Reid’s life is tied to the lodge. I appreciated the low-conflict approach and how they found a way to make things work without either of them giving up what mattered most. The ending felt just right.

Nisha J. Tuli’s foray into contemporary romance has been a treat, and I am ready for more.
